Known for their adequate strength while being commercially available, B-7 studs are extremely popular when flanging together pipe and valves.  Please note that we carry A-193 threaded bar up to 6″ in diameter.  In addition, we carry grade b7 studs in metric sizes too.  Due to the extreme resistance to corrosion that fluropolmer coatings offer, we are starting to see more jobs that are requiring blue PTFE B-7 studs TEFLON™ , which many still refer to as “PTFE studs“.  If you are looking for Xylan 1424 B7 cap screws, and even Xylan blue B7 cap screws, or  PTFE washers… you are in luck… Lightning Bolt has one of the largest known inventories of PTFE B7 Cap Screws.

Our PTFE coating is a proprietary Flurokote#1 blend that offers superior characteristics for maximizing the life of fasteners.  This PTFE coating include a tensile strength of up to 4,000psi & an operating pressure up to 100,000psi.  Unlike hot dip galvanized fasteners, the absence of oxides promise a safe and easy removal of “frozen nuts”when using teflon coated fasteners from Lightning Bolt.

You may not know, but but the Teflon™ trademark is owned by Chemours.   The TEFLON™ trademark should always be used as an adjective qualifying the noun that defines the Chemours licensed product, i.e., TEFLON™ coatings. Furthermore, as TEFLON™ is a Chemours owned trademark, it should never be used as a descriptor.  Therfore, it is fair to say that we produce B7 Teflon Studs.
