Inconel 625 U-bolts. IN STOCK. Inconel 625 fasteners are made of a nickel-chromium alloy that is also refereed to as alloy 625 fasteners and/or N06625 fasteners. Due to their ability to be easily fabricated, and their corrosion resistance, Inconel-625 fasteners are commonly engineered into applications due to their very broad range of operating temperatures (cryo-1800F).
The strength of Inconel 625 fasteners are largely due to a stiffening effect from the addition of Niobium and Molybdenum, therefore hardening is not required. Since Inconel-625 is very resistant to chloride attack, pitting, and crevice corrosion, it makes it an excellent choice for sea water applications. For this reason, it is commonly used in submerged applications by the Navy on submarines, and boats.
From sea to land… Inconel 625 is also commonly found in nuclear reactors and process equipment (vessels) that are exposed to sustained duration of high temperatures (1200-1400F).
