Incoloy 800-800H-800HT Bolts are all made from the 800 series of alloys patented and trade-marked by Special Metals. The nickel-iron-chromium alloy offers an excellent resistance against corrosion under high-temperature environments. Also known as UNS N08800 fasteners, UNS N08810 Fasteners, and UNS N08811 fasteners, such components are an excellent fit for hydrocarbon processing and are used in the catalysts tubing and convection/cracking tubes in ethylene production within the oil/gas industry.
Incoloy 800-800H-800HT Bolts are nickel-iron-chromium alloys with good strength and excellent resistance to oxidation and carburization in high-temperature exposure. These nickel steel alloys are identical except for the higher level of carbon in alloy 800H, and the addition of up to 1.20 percent aluminum and titanium in alloy 800HT. Many consider the general corrosion resistance is excellent. In the solution annealed condition, alloys 800H and 800HT have superior creep and stress rupture
Since its introduction in 1963, Special Metals Corporation has altered the chemical composition (primarily its Carbon content) and within the approval of the ASME committee and then accepted that Grade 1 and Grade 2 became Incoloy 800 and Incoloy 800H respectively. To then allow for design stresses, Incoloy 800HT was then introduced. This alloy falls within the limits of 800H, however it requires a heat treatment of 2100F min.
