Alloy 50 fasteners, which are sometimes called Nitronic 50 fasteners, provides an excellent combination of corrosion resistance and strength that is not found in any other material available in its price range. This grade of austenitic stainless has corrosion resistance greater than Types 316 and 316L, in addition it boasts approximately double the yield strength at room temperature. Nitronic 50 Stainless has very good mechanical properties at both elevated and sub-zero temperatures. And different than many austenitic stainless steels, Nitronic 50 does not become magnetic when cold worked.
